WA Police Workers’ Compensation & Chiropractic Care
Police work is physically demanding. When you’re dealing with a work-related injury, it can affect everything, your comfort, your confidence, and your ability to do your job day to day.
At Biotune Chiropractic, we support current and former WA Police employees who are accessing care under workers’ compensation, or who need ongoing help with musculoskeletal recovery. Our approach is evidence-based and focused on helping you move better, feel more comfortable, and work toward a safe return to normal activity.
How Chiropractic Care May Support Your Recovery
Chiropractic care focuses on the assessment and management of musculoskeletal conditions, such as concerns affecting the spine, joints, and surrounding soft tissues.
Depending on your situation, care may help to:
- Ease discomfort in the back, neck, shoulders, hips, and other joints
- Improve mobility, movement patterns, and posture
- Support recovery after a work-related injury
- Build physical capacity and resilience over time
When you’re under a workers’ compensation claim, we can also work alongside your employer, insurer, and other allied health providers. This helps keep your plan clear, coordinated, and aligned with claim requirements.

Making a WA Police Workers’ Compensation Claim
If you’ve sustained a work-related injury, you may be eligible for care under WA Police workers’ compensation.
The process generally looks like this:
1. Seek medical assessment
Arrange an initial assessment with a doctor or hospital as soon as possible after the injury.
2. Lodge a claim
Submit a claim for medical expenses related to an injury sustained while employed by WA Police Force. Claim forms are typically available through the WA Police Force Health and Safety Division or the Insurance Commission of Western Australia (ICWA).
Include a medical certificate from your doctor and submit the completed paperwork to: claims.wr@police.wa.gov.au
3. Receive claim approval
If your claim is approved, you’ll receive an approval letter and an assigned claims officer.
4. Book your appointment with Biotune Chiropractic
Once you have approval, you can book online, by phone, or in person at reception.
5. Bring your documents
Please bring:
- Your claim number
- Claim approval confirmation
- Any relevant reports or imaging (if available)
6. We liaise for treatment approval
Where required, Biotune Chiropractic can liaise with WA Police regarding approved treatment costs. Once approved, we invoice WA Police directly.
If you pay out of pocket before approval, you may be able to seek reimbursement later by submitting receipts to WA Police (check the requirements with your claims contact).
